Joe Peck is a research analyst in the Executive Office of Research at the Urban Institute. His research centers around the intersection of work and economic mobility, with a focus on industrial legislation and the creation of green jobs. His other work examines scheduling regulations, work-related tax credits, and patterns of wage growth across industries.

Peck has previously aided research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the Yale Sociology Department, the Center for Economic and Policy Research, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Outside Urban, he works with Laura Adler, assistant professor of organizational behavior at the Yale School of Management, and Katherine S. Newman, distinguished professor of sociology and public policy at the University of California, Berkeley. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University.
