Executive Summary
Project Equity, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding employee ownership across the United States and a research partner in the WorkRise-funded project “Increasing Black Income and Wealth Through Employee Ownership,” compiles a comprehensive, database on Employee Ownership policy initiatives across the United States. This up-to-date collection of proposed, passed, and repealed public policies enables advocates, practitioners, researchers, and policymakers to track key Employee Ownership initiatives across seven key policy categories.
The Employee Ownership state policy database aims to be a powerful tool in aiding in the development of policy recommendations and informing best practices for the public and private sector, and it is one piece of a larger WorkRise grant-funded project led by Project Equity in conjunction with the University of California, Riverside and Morehouse College.
